the PNY 9600 GT Video Card
Let me say, I am not a gamer, so I bought this PNY 9600 GT video card not really for any PC game.
The reason for me to buy this video card, because the newegg.com gave a really good deal (after rebate around $135, and the same card was list around $150 in Amazon.com, when the time I bought this card). Also, I want to have a new video card with all new cool feature , so I can replace my old Evga 7900 gs video card ( by the way, the PNY always is my favor brand).
This PNY 9600 GT card is amazing. It looks wonderful. This card is really easy to install. I just took a couple of minutes to finish the setup. This 9600 GT card is one of the first video cardd using nVidia's new GeFprce 9600 GT chipset. This card is PCI Express (PCIe) 2.0 X 16 card, PNY GeForce 9600GT graphics card with 64 SP (Stream Processor) modules, and compliant with 10.0 DirectX and 4.0 Shader Moder standards. This 9600 GT card has eight 16 Mb x 32Bit GDDR3 memory chipsets running at the 512 MB / 256Bit. The core frequency (default) is 650 MHz and the memory frequency (default) is 1800MHz.
This single - slot card has a six - pin PCIe power connector, and it compliant with Scalable Link Interface (SLI) on compatible motherboard (I am using ASUA P5N-E SLI motherboards )
This card has two dual-link DVI outputs that can support two 2560x1600 (max) resolution displays, and High-Definition Content Protection (HDCP) for your full resolution output HD DVD and Blu-ray data source.
Also, this PNY GeForce 9600 GT video card supports the second-generation PureVideo HD technology, and continue to maintain high-definition (HD) video playback technology. To achieve perfect performance and video acceleration, this PNY GeForce 9600GT does not need CPU to participate encoding H.264 / VC-1 and decoding high-definition video (HDTV). After I bought this PNY 9600 GT video card, I have used it for a week, and this card is quiet running cooling and without much noise. The Truth is : This PNY 9600 GT video card really made a video quality really different with my old Evga 7900 gs in my Vista system. This new PNY 9600 GT card is MUCH MUCH BETTER !!! . (I do not think that I would to spend $100 or $200 more to buy a 8800 GT card.)
Finally, I have to give thumbs up to this PNY 9600 GT video card- It is more than just enough !!!

When I Connect 2 monitors, one is Gateway 22 inch LCD monitor, one is Hannspree HF289HJB LCD monitor (see my review of Hannspree HF289HJB LCD Monitor), this PNY 9600 GT video card can show the different max resolution of these Gateway 22 inch LCD monitor (1680 x 1050) and Hannspree HF289HJB LCD monitor (1920 x 1200), and this PNY 9600 GT video card is working perfect. The video and picture quality is amazing!!!

I use the DVI-DVI cable ( I used to use VGA-DVI ) to hook up my old Gateway 22" monitor , WOW, Gateway 22 inch LCD monitor turns bright , looks much better than before. SO, using a correct and high quality standard cable to connect your video card and monitor , you will get a big surprise.
